MAC seeking to remove all recruiting social media restrictions
In NCAA meetings that occured earlier this week, the conferences cleared the air about restrictions they want changed. According to Jon Solomon, the Mid-American Conference has asked for the NCAA to remove all restrictions regarding contacting recruits via social media, due to "the difficulty in monitoring the activity and the desire to keep pace with social media technology." If policy changes, it could be very interesting to se hwo the recruiting game is changed in that regard.

Zelis joins four star Marshawn Wilson, three stars Levi Bradley and Jaylen Key, and two stars Laytwan Porter and Austin Pauga in the 2015 signing class. Coming off a disappointing 2014-2015 season, bringing in one of the MAC's best recruiting classes on paper gives head coach Mark Montgomery something to be excited about heading into next season.

Ohio Freshman Guard Kendall Crute No Longer With Team
This is interesting. Kendall Crute, the only Jim Christian-era 2014 commit to stick with the Bobcats after Saul Phillips was hired, has apparently left the team. Crute arrived in Athens earlier this month, but is back home in Georgia now per The Athens' Messenger. Crute hasn't been released form his scholarship, nor has he requested a release, but it's not a good sign that he's not on Ohio's active roster and is nowhere near the team right now.
