Akron 85, Penn State 60

Penn State isn't a worldbeater in basketball, but they are Big Ten, and this was a 25-point win. That's ... unexpected. Especially since the Nittany Lions were leading by four at half.

The Zips took control on all facets, especially shooting 56 percent from the floor and 8-for-16 on threes. Zeke Marshall was a force on both sides, finishing with 17 points, seven rebounds and six blocks. Jake Kretzer, Demetrius Treadwell and Carmelo Betancourt all hit the 10-point mark as well.

It admittedly hurt Penn State's cause that their best player Tim Frazier only played six minutes before leaving with a leg injury, but it was unlikely he would've made a difference of 25 points.

And that's how Akron took fifth in Puerto Rico. They'll get a long respite and return to basketball games starting on December 2 against Middle Tennessee State.
