Michigan 73, Western Michigan 41

I'll say this about WMU: they held on pretty well until the first under-8 timeout, when it was 20-15. From there, WMU had difficulty finding the middle of the rim. They shot 36 percent in the first half then a paltry 22 percent in the second half. When you're playing the third-best team in the country, these things are bound to happen. The Broncos have played well but it was quite an atrocious matchup. Darius Paul led the Broncos with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The next game should be more to their liking: Saturday WMU travels to Illinois State. (Perhaps they can leave with their football coach?)
