Another day, another Ball State last-second victory

On the heels of Chris Bond's free throws with 0.6 seconds left, Ball State won their second straight game practically at the buzzer.

Last week it was Majok Majok dunking at the buzzer to win. In their MAC opener against EMU they held a marginal lead for much of the game, then after getting all tied up, again it was Jesse Berry with decisions running down the floor. Again he located a player inside, this time it was Bond, and he was fouled as he went up. He made both free throws, the referees re-examined the clock and gave EMU 0.6 seconds, giving them a metaphysical chance to make a basket.

But it wasn't just that he hit the winning free throws: he had a hell of a game and from start to finish was a big reason they won. They rebound and shot their way to this win, and EMU held on by virtue of getting some stops on defense so that the Cardinals couldn't put this game fully away.
