Toledo handles Kent State easily, which isn't easy

Rian Pearson had an inspired performance to score 29 points and snap a long losing streak against the Golden Flashes.

So, remember when I said that Toledo had a five-game losing streak with all losses by 16 points or more? PRETTY GOOD WAY TO SNAP THAT STREAK. (Ahem.)

In the first half, UT played like your typical 15-seed team against a 2-seed, giving a superior squad their very best, but then in the second half they just got carried away and thought they were the MAC favorites or something. They were MAC West favorites, but finally showed their worth. They had a tough time missing, going 56 percent from the field in the second half.

As for Kent State, this was the team that showed up against Fairmont State. They should probably expel that team so they don't accidentally show up again. Get your top associate dean on the job.
