Orris is originally from Crete, Illinois, just a half hour from DeKalb. He originally committed to Illinois, then when Bruce Weber was fired followed him to Kansas State.
Orris appeared in just fifteen games as a freshman, and averaged less than a point per game.
Rated a three star prospect by Rivals, Orris had offers from Illinois, Pittsburgh, Nebraska and Drake.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, he'll have to sit out a year and will be a junior once he becomes eligible to play in the 2014-2015 season.
