College Basketball Rankings: Toledo Rises, Ohio Drops Out In Latest MMM Power 15 Poll

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

What a difference a week can make. Last week the Ohio Bobcats had finally cracked into the Top 15 of Mid-Major Madness's Power 15 Poll, and seemed poised to make some solid gains. But a loss to Bowling Green on Wednesday outdid Ohio's impressive come-from-behind win over RPI giants EMU on Saturday, and the 'Cats have fallen out of this weeks poll.

For Toledo Rockets' fans, things are much more cheery. Toledo shot up two spots this week to No. 7 after downing NIU and Kent State this past week. Moving further up will be a lot harder for the Rockets now as the six teams above them are perennial mid-major powers, such as VCU (No. 6) and Gonzaga (No. 4).

The Rockets do face a tough schedule this week though that could help them get an edge, especially if someone looks sloppy. Toledo takes on Miami on Wednesday, and faces Ohio on Saturday in a potential MAC Championship preview. The 'Cats face the last-place Central Michigan Chippewas on Wednesday.

Here's the full poll:
