2014 MAC Basketball Power Rankings: Week 1

There was some movement, but not enough to make a huge difference.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

As of today, every single team in the MAC has played at least one game. So, that means we know how the season is going to turn out right?

Disclaimer: these will probably not be the final standings at the end of the season. If they are though, cheers to us.

Rank Team Last Week
1 Toledo 1
2 Western Michigan 3
3 Akron 2
4 Ohio 4
5 Buffalo 6
6 Eastern Michigan 5
7 Kent State 7
8 Bowling Green 9
9 Northern Illinois 8
10 Central Michigan 10
11 Miami 11
12 Ball State 12

As you can see, the movement between teams wasn't drastic but a few teams slipped places. Akron fell likely because of the Demetrius Treadwell news, and I'm not sure why Bowling Green and Northern Illinois switched places since both won.

Things could shake up a lot more this week, as there are some huge games this week including Toledo-VCU, Toledo-Oregon, Akron-USC, and Ohio-Florida Gulf Coast among others.

We have these completely correct, right? Let us know how perfect we are in the comments.
