MAC men's basketball open chat: It's a MAC Championship rematch

Can EMU and Ohio grab their first MAC win? Will Toledo take revenge against the Broncos at The Savage?

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Ah yes, Western Michigan vs. Toledo. If there was going to be a primetime game on tonight for the MAC, that's the one I want.

Okay, so there's two others that start at 7 pm tonight. That doesn't make things any less exciting for these two to meet up the Savage Arena for the Rockets to have their revenge over last year's MAC Tournament Championship game.

Ball State has had a couple impressive wins themselves, beating both EMU and CMU last week and has had some time off since then. Now they face another tough MAC foe in Bowling Green, led by Richaun Holmes (14.4 points per game, 8.4 rebounds per game).

To this point, the only two schools without a win in conference play are Eastern Michigan and Ohio. They're both 0-3. EMU has a home contest, which is good for them, but this NIU team is not not like one we've seen in years past. And Ohio has an even tougher chance at picking up their first MAC win, on the road against a powerful Kent State team, who is 2-1 in the MAC with their only loss coming against Bowling Green. It was only a 2-point loss.

In the end, basketball only gets more weird and more crazy when #MACtion is involved. So I leave you with this as we enter the dark realm of our open chat with a famous quote by Sir Thomas Pickles: "hold onto your diapers."
