The Buffalo - Central Michigan game is probably the match-up of the night, as the Chippewas want to prove that they are for real. Buffalo's three conference wins have come against two of the worst teams in the conference - Miami (twice) and Northern Illinois. The Bulls need this win as well to keep pace with the other teams that are 3-1. Justin Moss could have a field day against the Chips' thin front line. Lamonte Bearden will have his hands full trying to guard Chris Fowler.
The Kent State-Toledo game is another interesting one. The Flashes are like Buffalo: sitting at 3-1 in conference play but with no good wins yet. You hate to call this a must-win for any one in January, but it feels like a must-win for both teams. The Flashes can solidify their contender status with a win, and if Toledo drops to 2-3, it'll feel like a huge let down.
Of course, just like with every basketball gameday so far, something will happen that no one will see coming. Everyone is on upset alert, although in this league there aren't many results that could be called "upsets."
