NBA Summer League: How to watch Shayne Whittington, Richaun Holmes and Maurice Ndour

Whittington (Pacers), Holmes (76ers) and Ndour (Knicks) are so far the only MAC alums participating in the summer league

It's that time of the year again, where a week or so after the NBA Draft the top rookies and hopefuls looking to land a roster spot gather in Orlando, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City to compete. So far, the only MAC alums that are playing are Shayne Whittington with the Pacers, Richaun Holmes with the 76ers, and Maurice Ndour with the Knicks.

The Pacers will play in the Orlando Summer League starting tomorrow morning. Here is their schedule:

Date Away Home Time (EST) TV
7/4 Heat Pacers 9:00 a.m. NBATV
7/6 Pacers Magic (White) 1:00 NBATV
7/8 Pacers Pistons 3:00 NBATV
7/9 Pacers Magic (Blue) 1:00 NBATV
7/10 Pacers TBD Playoffs NBATV

Richaun Holmes, drafted 37th overall to the Philadelphia 76ers, will suit up for his new team for the first time in Salt Lake City, where they 76ers are part of the Utah Jazz Summer League. The 76ers kick things off next Monday against the Spurs:

Date Away Home Time (EST) TV
7/6 76ers Spurs 7:00 NBATV
7/7 Celtics 76ers 7:00 NBATV
7/9 76ers Jazz 9:00 NBATV

They will also play in the Las Vegas Summer League, which starts a week from today:

Date Away Home Time (EST) TV
7/11 Lakers 76ers 8:30 NBATV
7/12 76ers Celtics 10:30 NBATV
7/14 Knicks 76ers 5:30 NBATV
7/15 76ers TBD Playoffs

Maurice Ndour will also be in Vegas with the Knicks. Hopefully Holmes and Ndour will be on the court together when they play each other on the 14th.

Date Away Home Time (EST) TV
7/11 Knicks Spurs 430 NBATV
7/13 Lakers Knicks 830 NBATV
7/14 Knicks 76ers 530 NBATV
7/15 Knicks TBD Playoffs

Each three have a pretty good shot at making the roster. Whittington played 20 games for the Pacers last year, so they know what they have in him. The Sixers drafted Holmes, so they have high hopes that he'll be able to clinch a roster spot. While Ndour may have a longer shot than the other two, the Knicks are so bad that Ndour could beat out a veteran with his hustle.

The basketball may not always be the best, but it's awesome to see the guys in the Summer League fighting for their professional lives. Plus, any basketball is better than no basketball.
