Mid-American Conference men's basketball conference schedules released

Teams across the Mid-American Conference released their basketball schedules today at 1pm.

MAC play opens on January 5 with the Akron Zips visiting the 2014-15 MAC Tournament champions Buffalo Bulls and Kent State Golden Flashes visiting the Western Michigan Broncos. MAC Regular Season champions Central Michigan Chippewas will host the Eastern Michigan Eagles on January 6 along with Bowling Green hosting Miami, Northern Illinois and Ohio meeting up in DeKalb and Toledo traveling to Muncie to take on Ball State.

Each team has 18 in-conference games lined up for the season, nine at home and nine on the road. Each school will play seven teams twice: five within their division and two cross-division opponents. There will also be four cross-division games where teams will play another school once. All cross-division games were selected at random.

The regular season ends on March 4 and the first round of the MAC Tournament will begin on campus sites on Monday March 7, where teams will have to win to advance to the following rounds located at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland from March 10-12. The MAC Tournament Championship is set for Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 pm and can be seen on ESPN2.
