Central Michigan Chippewas men's basketball schedule released

The Central Michigan Chippewas went on to be last year's regular season champions in the Mid-American Conference with a 23-9 overall record, 12-6 in MAC play. Being a national threat from behind the arc, the Chippewas lived up to the nickname that we gave them: #3MU.

Can CMU do it again this year? They've got just about everybody coming back from last year's team and a fairly favorable schedule. Maybe the toughest non-conference opponent on CMU's schedule is BYU, who went 25-10 overall and 13-5 against the West Coast Conference. There's also Texas Southern who ended their 2014-15 campaign going 22-13, eventually falling to the Arizona Wildcats in the Round of 64 in last year's NCAA Tournament.

Central's biggest loss last year came in the MAC Tournament Championship game against the Buffalo Bulls, who CMU will be visiting in mid-January. Kent State also finished last season with a 12-6 conference record and the Chippewas will have them at home on February 2.
