SCHEDULE:
6:30- #12 Bowling Green vs. Akron
After that- #3 Buffalo vs. #2 Ohio
Winners of tonight's two match-ups (can be seen on BCSN/TWCS/ESPN3) will play against each other in tomorrow's MAC Championship game.
Bowling Green is the only one of the four teams playing tonight that aren't straight-chalk. They opened up the tournament on the road against 5-seed Kent State, then took down 4-seed Central Michigan last night in quarterfinals play. They'll be playing against Akron, who had to come back from a double-digit deficit late in the game against Eastern Michigan after opening with a bye.
Buffalo ended quarterfinals play with a huge win over 11-seed Miami, who finally got really exciting to watch play with a fun final two weeks of the regular season and an opening round tournament win at 6-seed Ball State. Ohio was rolling on all cylinders in their win over 7-seed Northern Illinois last night.
In any case, there's going to be a team from the East to win it all this year, because of course.
