2016-17 MAC Men’s Basketball Live Thread: January 10

Six games on the docket tonight, and we got you covered.

We’ve got a big night on the #MACsketball court tonight as all 12 teams will be in action at 7 p.m. tonight for your viewing pleasure. One of those games ought to be really compelling as the Akron Zips hit the road to take on Marcus Keene and the Central Michigan Chippewas. Akron has been a tough squad all season long, but bottling up the top scorer in the nation will be a challenge.

Also, we have a big MAC East tilt as the Buffalo Bulls host a pretty good Ohio Bobcats club. The defending MAC champions are looking to sustain their momentum after downing the Eastern Michigan Eagles in their last outing, and Antonio Campbell and the ‘Cats seek a victory over the Bulls for their first big win of MAC play.

Elsewhere, there’s a MAC West showdown with the Toledo Rockets going on the road to face the Western Michigan Broncos. UT is playing really good basketball as of late with Jonathan Williams and Steve Taylor Jr. leading charge, but the Broncos will have a chip on their shoulder in their house, so this ought to be a fun game to watch as well.

The rest of the slate is comprised of inter-divisional action as the Ball State Cardinals host the Miami RedHawks, the Kent State Golden Flashes head west for a meeting with the Northern Illinois Huskies, and the Bowling Green Falcons have a big home contest with the Eastern Michigan Eagles. The Redbird Rivalry should be a dandy as both teams have shown flashes of brilliance, while KSU will be tested on the road against a hard-nosed Husky team. EMU will be on a mission following its loss to Buffalo, but BGSU will be ready to defend home court.

With all this #MACtion on tap tonight, it’s time to hop down in the comments and discuss your favorite team. GO SHOOTY HOOPS!
