Five games on the docket, including some big inter-divisional battles.

The #MACsketball season is starting to heat up as we have five games on deck for today, starting with the Bowling Green Falcons hosting the Northern Illinois Huskies at 11 p.m. EST. The Falcons have been playing good basketball despite their record in MAC play, and NIU is very sound squad that can give them a lot of trouble in a game that should be expected to go down to the wire.

Next up, we have a pair of contests at 2 p.m. with the Kent State Golden Flashes hitting the road to take on the Western Michigan Broncos while the Buffalo Bulls invite the Ball State Cardinals into their humble abode. These two contests should have their fair share of entertainment as KSU is much better than it’s conference record says it is while UB and BSU should combine for a wild finish between two teams that could be major players late in the season.

To cap off our afternoon of shooty hoops, we’ve got a couple of good match-ups with the Eastern Michigan Eagles making their way to southeastern Ohio to take on the Ohio Bobcats while the Miami RedHawks square off against the Akron Zips in Oxford. EMU/Ohio could very well be the game of the day in the MAC as the Eagles can make a case to be the best team in the West while Ohio will be a very tough out at home. On paper, Akron should coast against Miami, but the Zips haven’t won in Millett Hall since 2013 so it could be a sneaky good game.

With all this in mind, it should be a great day on the hardwood and we look forward to talking about it in the comments below.
