We’ve only got four games this Saturday, but there’s no shortage of #MACsketball today with the Buffalo Bulls and the Bowling Green Falcons starting the action at noon in northeast Ohio. Buffalo has been up-and-down all season long but is starting to heat up, while BG has been on the short end of the stick in a lot of close games.
Coming your way at 3:30 p.m. is the rematch between the Central Michigan Chippewas and the Miami RedHawks in Oxford. CMU hit 20 three-pointers in the first meeting at Mount Pleasant as Marcus Keene continued his incredible tear with 50 points in the game. Miami just got blown out at home vs. the Western Michigan Broncos, so expect a more spirited effort against the Chips.
Then at 6 p.m., we have a huge MAC West match-up WMU hosting the Northern Illinois Huskies. Both teams are in play for the division crown after NIU got off to a hot start to the MAC season while the Broncos have been playing better basketball as of late. It should be a good match-up between the Huskies rebounding and defense against Western’s scoring ability.
Our nightcap for this Saturday is at 7 p.m. as the Kent State Golden Flashes hit the road to take on the Toledo Rockets. These teams have been inconsistent all season, but have occasional spurts of brilliance so it’ll be interesting to see which versions of these teams show up. UT needs a win to keep pace in the West, so expect a lot of effort in its attempt to defend home court.
With some pivotal games in shooty hoops today, let’s jump down to the comments and talk about how your team is doing (or not doing, in Miami’s case). Let’s have some fun!
