Ball State is coming off a huge win over the Chips of Central Michigan on Saturday and they are looking to use that momentum on the recruiting trail.
The Cardinals are the most recent team to offer the 6-foot-1 271 pound defensive tackle Dorian Kithcart. Kithcart also holds reported FBS offers from Air Force, Georgia State, Kent State, and South Alabama.
Kithcart told Hustle Belt in a recent interview that he has not narrowed his list of schools yet but is looking to do so pretty soon.
"I'm trying to narrow it down within the next week or so. I want to make my decision after the season and once I take officials. But anything can happen between now and then. When I feel it I'll pull the trigger."
Although Kithcart does not have any favorites at this time he says that South Alabama, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, Mercer, William and Mary, Liberty, Ball State, and Air Force are pursuing him the hardest right now. Kithcart plans on taking official visits to Ball State and Kent State in December or early January.
Kithcart may not know what school he is going to attend next year, but he definitely knows what he is looking for at this point in the process.
"Academics are huge because I want more than a diploma, I want a career! Campus life is another factor because I have to live there for the next couple of years. I also am looking at the relationship between the staff and their players as well as the goals of the program. I want a school that will better me not only as an athlete but as a man as well."
Kithcart is very shifty for a defensive tackle and can stuff up a backfield rather quickly. Kithcart looks to be a guy who is being targeted many FCS programs, however don't let that fool you because he has FBS potential and would be a great fit within the MAC. We will be sure to keep you updated on Kithcart's decision as that news becomes available to us. In the meantime, check out his Hudl highlights below:
