The Northern Illinois Huskies added another piece to their 2015 recruiting class to help replenish their already explosive spread offense.
Steven Lee, a six-foot-three wide receiver from Centennial High in Champaign, Illinois, announced his commitment on Twitter Saturday afternoon.
Lee selected NIU over offers from Wyoming, Southern Illinois, and North Dakota. Lee has the make-up of your stereotypical overlooked MAC star as only one other FBS program offered him a scholarship. With his height, Lee has the potential to not only become a popular red zone target early in his career, but also a nuisance to the smaller MAC defensive backs for many years to come.
Not sure you want to take my word about the impact Lee could have as a Huskie? No worries, just check out his Hudl highlights below:
With the recent commitment of running back D.J. Brown, the Huskies look to be putting together a very balanced 2015 recruiting class on the offensive side of the ball.
