The MAC West aren't the only ones busy hauling in commitments this week. Monday, Ohio notched a commitment from Coal Grove, Ohio offensive tackle Austen Pleasants, per ScoutingOhio.com.
The fourth commitment of Ohio's 2015 recruiting class, Pleasants gives head coach Frank Solich an offensive lineman with potential to plug in and play right away in the fall of 2015. At 6-foot-6, 305 pounds, Pleasant has elite size for a high school tackle.
The mountain of a tackle has bullish strength, and chose the Bobcats over offers from Akron and Toledo, and was receiving interest from Bowling Green, Cincinnati, OSU and Pittsburgh. He's currently unranked by any of the scouting services, but has been a versatile piece of the Dawson-Bryant High School team. He's played both ways, and has played both guard and tackle on the offensive side.
With the offensive line issues that have plagued Ohio the past few seasons, it's not surprising to see the 'Cats go after more lineman, despite having only five upperclassmen offensive lineman on roster.
