2015 Toledo Football Recruiting: OT Chandler Cotterman Talks Commitment to Rockets

Chandler Cotterman is strong, intense, and a difference maker on the offensive line. The Rockets won't be disappointed with this addition.

Offensive tackle Chandler Cotterman, from Anna, Ohio, is the fifth commitment of the Toledo Rockets 2015 class. The Rockets consistently pluck some of the best undervalued talent from within their own state and Cotterman should be no different.

Cotterman chose Toledo over offers from Marshall, Bowling Green, Kent State, and Air Force. But it appears Cotterman isn't paying attention to any interest coming from other schools now.

"My commitment to the Rockets is very solid. I really feel right at Toledo." Cotterman told Hustle Belt. When asked what about Toledo made him want to commit. With no hesitation he added "I want to win multiple MAC Championships as a team, and be a very successful individual."

The 6-foot-5, 295 pound offensive lineman has a knack for punishing players over and over again, and is the ultimate team player. Cotterman has not been afraid to show off his strength either, benching 300 Lbs as a freshman.

Rated a 2 star offensive linemen by 247Sports, Cotterman currently plays for the Anna High School Rockets of the MAC (Midwest Athletic Conference). It was kind of like destiny he wound up pledging to a MAC school, don't you think?

He plays both offensive line, and defensive line, but is being recruited by the Rockets strictly as an offensive linemen. Cotterman was a second team All-MAC defensive selection and honorable mention selection as a sophomore in 2012. As a junior this past season he was a second team All-MAC offensive selection, and was also a second team All-MAC defensive selection.

Cotterman has been a beast in high school and Campbell and staff should have fun watching him pancake and destroy opposing defensive players on a weekly basis. Cotterman also sees big things happening down the road stating, "With all the commits we have from my class. We're going to be the team to beat in the future!"

Capable of playing either tackle position, Cotterman has the right mindset and appears focused to help lead the Rockets back to the top of the MAC.
