2015 Ohio Football Recruiting: OLB London Cloud Commits To Bobcats

The Bobcats went north towards Cleveland for their latest commitment.

Frank Solich has long been able to use his connections and manpower to bring in recruits from all over the nation to Athens, Ohio, but this year he seems to be taking a new approach: sticking close to home.

The Bobcats' first five commits of 2015 have all come from the Buckeye state, and over the weekend Ohio received a sixth in-state commitment from 2015 linebacker London Cloud, from Bedford, Ohio.

Cloud's head coach at Bedford High School, Sean Williams, actually played for the Bobcats in the mid-1990s.

Cloud chose the Bobcats over an offer from Toledo, and interest from a handful of schools, including Bowling Green and Indiana. Considered a 3-star prospect by Scout, Cloud is currently unranked by both Rivals and 247Sports.

Listed at at 6-foot 210-pounds, Cloud is a tough physical linebacker who actually feels better suited to play inside. He's an athlete who plays a bit of running back at the high school level, and he has good field vision on both sides of the ball. He's also quick on his feet and can attack the gap as quick as it opens.

The first linebacker to commit to Ohio's class, Cloud is the under-the-radar style of player who Solich and staff hav been known to turn into gems.
