There's nothing quite as sweet as a package deal. Over the weekend Ohio received a commitment from 2015 Bedford, Ohio linebacker London Cloud, and a few days later his teammate Najee Stevens-McKenzie followed suit.
The Bedford High School defensive end is listed as 6-foot-5, 213 pounds, per his Hudl page. An under-the-radar prospect, Stevens-McKenzie chose the Bobcats over offers from Bowling Green and Western Michigan, per Scouting Ohio.
Like his teammate Cloud, Stevens-McKenzie is a physical athlete. He's spent some time playing both receiver and end for Bedford, but projects as an end for the Bobcats,
He's explosive, and has a quick first step. He's a bit undersized, but has the frame to bulk up and add some weight and strength. With a college-level strength and conditioning coach Stevens-McKenzie could develop into a dynamic pass-rush specialist off the edge for Ohio.
Stevens-McKenzie's commitment gives the Bobcats seven verbal commitments by early July. All seven are from the state of Ohio as it appears the Bobcats' coaching staff is focusing harder on in-state talent than ever before.
