2015 Western Michigan Football Recruiting: RB Davon Tucker Commits To The Broncos

The Broncos land another highly touted 3-star recruit, running back Davon Tucker.

Western Michigan has been recruiting at a torrid pace again this year. What Coach Fleck and his staff have been able to do on the recruiting trail is historic for the MAC and they have no plans of slowing down anytime soon. Their most recent commitment is a 3-star running back, Davon Tucker.

Tucker, a 5-foot-10 203 pound running back, is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports, and Rivals.com. Tucker chose Western Michigan over offers from Ball State, Boston College, and Syracuse. This is a huge get for the Broncos since former WMU commit, 3 star running back James Gilbert, is now committed to Ball State.

Tucker is a rare talent and shows flashes of both speed and power. Tucker, who attends Sterling in Somerdale, New Jersey, rushed for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior These impressive numbers earned him All-Conference and ultimately attracted the attention of many FBS coaches.

Even though it will be another year before Tucker steps foot on campus, Western Michigan fans should expect Tucker to make an immediate impact and ultimately be a key part in turning around the Broncos' program.
