2015 Western Michigan Football Recruiting: DB Justin "Jett" Spencer Commits To Broncos

WMU is on a roll.

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

P.J. Fleck, and Western Michigan have had one heck of a week so far. Not only have the Broncos picked up commitments from class of 2015 prospects Samuel Beal, and Keishawn Watson, but now Fleck, and gang have added the verbal pledge of three-star Florida defensive back Justin "Jett" Spencer.

Announcing his commitment to WMU over reported scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, Florida International, and Mississippi State, on his Twitter page Wednesday morning, the 5-foot-10 and 180-pound Spencer is now the 21st soon-to-be senior to give Fleck, and the Bronco coaching staff their word.

With the upcoming graduation of cornerback's Donald Celiscar, and Garrett Smith, Spencer, who is blessed with not just great speed, but pretty solid cover skills, could find himself cracking the WMU lineup very early during his college career.

Last season for Oviedo High School, "Jett" played both ways for the 6-4 Lions, averaging nearly four tackles a contest. Playing running back in a limited role on offense, he finished the year with nearly 100 yards rushing, and two touchdowns.

In a very talent rich class of 2015, Spencer ranks among some of the best. According to the 247Sports Composite, he is currently the 115th cornerback, and 1,365th overall prospect in the class.
