2015 UMass Football Recruiting: OL Michael Yerardi Commits To The Minutemen

The big, and physical tackle makes four verbal commitments for Mark Whipple, and UMass.

As first reported by Bob McGovern of the Maroon Musket, the UMass football team picked up a verbal commitment from class of 2015 prospect Michael Yerardi, of Suffield Academy in Connecticut yesterday afternoon.

Yerardi, a big and physical athlete at 6 foot 5, and well over 300 pounds, was a massive part of the Suffield Academy perfect 9-0 season last year. Playing offensive tackle, Michael helped the Tiger rushing attack average well over 260 yards a contest, while also suiting up a defensive tackle, where he accounted for 43 total tackles and six quarterback sacks.

Even though he plays both ways on the high school level, Michael will make the switch over to offensive tackle full-time when he reaches UMass to play for the Minutemen.

After a rather slow start to the class 2015, recently re-hired head coach Mark Whipple, and staff have things starting to turn around. Yerardi, joins defensive tackle Diasjon Robinson, fellow offensive lineman Joe Parsons, and athleteLee Moses as current class of 2015 prospects to give UMass a verbal commitment.
