When it comes to recruiting, this week has been pretty impressive for the Mid-American Conference. Just about every program in the league received a verbal commitment from a class of 2015 prospect over the last few days.
On Thursday, Dino Babers, and Bowling Green picked up a pledge from West Bloomfield (Michigan) High School senior Eddy Wilson, right out from under conference foes Ball State, Eastern Michigan, and Toledo.
"The reason I chose Bowling Green is because I feel it's the best choice career wise with both my education, and with football," the 2-star defensive tackle told Hustle Belt soon after he made his choice to soar with the Falcons over the Cardinals, Eagles and Rockets.
"Considering their high rank in the MAC, it encouraged my decision but the connects I have with players that were in the program, and the positive things they shared with me really helped me as well," Wilson went on to add as a few of the reasons why his commitment to join the Bowling Green family was a no brainer.
West Bloomfield is the same the high school that produced former Bowling Green defensive back Aaron Foster, who helped the 6 foot 3, and 250 pound, Wilson with the recruiting process.
"He pretty much told me how much he enjoyed playing there. He also told me about the environment, school size, and the family atmosphere. When I think of Bowling Green I think of family. I'm not quite sure if I can say the recruiting process is completely over, but I'm just grateful for this opportunity. I look forward to being a Falcon."
A tough, and hard nosed lineman, who always seems to be around the ball, Wilson could add depth to a couple different positions on the line for the Falcons, as he has the ability, and speed to play either defensive tackle or end.
Eddy, the 129th defensive tackle, and 2,084th overall ranked class of 2015 prospect in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite, gives the Falcons 12 verbal commitments so far.
