Ohio's quarterback for the future, both this year and beyond, is still up in the air. As of right now, the next two years seem to belong to Derrius Vick, but there are no clear answers for what happens after the 2015 season.

Head coach Frank Solich does have a number of young options, and in 2015 he'll have another one in Quinton Maxwell. Maxwell, who is beginning his senior year at Richmond High School in Richmond, Missouri, verbally committed to Ohio on Aug. 3.

Maxwell had a strong junior season- he was named to the Missouri River Valley Conference East Second All-Conference team by PrepsKC and was invited to USA Football's National Team Development Games in College Station, Texas. Maxwell, who also plays outside linebacker, has a strong arm, but he is perhaps at his most impressive when he tucks the ball and runs.

He ran a 4.61 in the 40-yard dash, fast enough to catch defenses off guard, and at 6'3 and 205 pounds, he's big enough to shake off tacklers, as you can see in the video below courtesy of Hudl. In a game against O'Hara High School last season, he amassed 275 yards on 24 carries. Given his athletic talents, it should come as no surprise that Maxwell also plays for Richmond's varsity basketball and baseball teams.

He's definitely a player that Solich, and many Bobcat fans, will keep an eye on during his senior year.
