When you're nationally ranked, recruits notice. The Toledo coaching staff is definitely starting to reap the benefits of their hard work on and off the field. With already one of the top recruiting classes in the Mid-American Conference under their belt, Matt Campbell and the UT staff added another class of 2016 standout to the fold on Wednesday afternoon.
Three-star wide receiver Jalen Martin of Chandler Park Academy in Haper Woods, Michigan is now the 20th and latest high school senior to announce he will suit up for the Rockets on the next level.
Martin, the 124th wide receiver, and 843rd overall prospect in the class of 2016, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, reportedly held scholarship offers from programs such as Akron, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Miami, and Western Michigan throughout his recruiting process.
A jack-of-all trades on the high school level, the newest Rocket pledge plays multiple positions on the field for Chandler Park Academy. Currently sitting 6-2 on the year, Martin, and the Eagles are hoping to finish the season off strong with a conference title, and a deep run in the state playoffs.
