Just a couple days off from landing a verbal pledge from Rodney Graves Jr. of Detroit Cody High School, PJ Fleck and the Western Michigan Broncos have picked up a commitment from another under-the-radar class of 2016 prospect.
On Tuesday evening, Houston, Texas native and Mayde Creek High senior Jaylen Brown became the 22nd recruit to give Fleck, and the WMU coaching staff a verbal pledge.
Playing both ways on the high school level for Mayde Creek, the 6'2, 205-pound, Brown will make the switch to defense full-time, and suit up at safety when he arrives in Kalamazoo next year.
Like a lot of other Mid-American Conference recruits, Brown didn't receive a large amount of scholarships throughout the process. Before his commitment to Western Michigan, he reportedly held a scholarship offer to suit up for the Miners of UTEP.
