The future of the Toledo Rockets football program is definitely looking bright. One way Matt Campbell, and the UT coaching staff have built their squad into one of the best in the Mid-American Conference is on the recruiting trail. With already a star-studded class verbally committed, the Rockets landed another high quality prospect to the fold on Wednesday evening.
Reportedly holding scholarships from MAC programs such as Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Miami, three-star class of 2016 defensive end Eyioma Uwazurike decided to soar with the Rockets.
"It was the coaches and the program that I liked the most. My family also thought it was the best fit." The 6'6, 255-pound Southfield (MI) senior stated to Hustle Belt as a few of the reasons that led to his UT pledge.
Eyioma, the 54th strong side defensive end, and 1,150th overall prospect in the senior class, according to the 247Sports Composite gives the Rockets 21 verbal commitments for 2016.
