With the season now over with, Pete Lembo and the Ball State football coaching staff have shifted their attention towards adding more talent to the roster. With just under two months until national signing day, the Cardinals have hit the recruiting trail hard.
After receiving a verbal commitment from junior college defensive end Reggie McGee earlier in the week, Ball State added its 18th pledge of the 2016 cycle on Thursday evening, Three-star athlete Lamar Anderson of Christian Brothers College High in St. Louis, Missouri is the latest recruit to join the Cardinals class.
While Ball State ended up being his choice, it wasn't Lamar's only option. The 5'9, 170-pound, Anderson reportedly held scholarship offers from the likes of Kansas, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, and Western Michigan. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Anderson is considered the 93rd athlete, and 1,284th overall prospect in the class of 2016.
