2016 Toledo Football Recruiting: WR Neru N'Shaka commits to Rockets

The former Virginia commit will now suit up for the Rockets.

Just days after reopening his recruitment, Neru N'Shaka, a former Virginia commit, has found a new home. After losing numerous pledges over the last few weeks due to the departure of Matt Campbell, the new look Toledo coaching staff has bounced back with the verbal pledge of N'Shaka, a three-star wide receiver from Hallandale, Florida.

"I called Coach (Jason) Candle late Saturday night, and told him (I was committing). He was very happy, and said he's glad I'm a Rocket, and that he can't wait to coach me." N'Shaka, who chose the Rockets over reported scholarship offers from programs such as Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Cincinnati, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Wisconsin stated to Hustle Belt.

"I just love everything about UT, and feel it is the perfect fit for me. Ever since I got the offer Coach Candle has been on me hard. He said I'm his guy, and he wanted me bad. We built a good relationship, and I trust him." He added.

One of the higher rated prospects to commit to UT this cycle, the 5'10, 180-pound N'Shaka is currently considered the 203rd wide receiver, and 1,442nd overall prospect in the class of 2016, according to the 247Sports Composite.
