College football recruiting never sleeps. Even on Christmas Day top prospects from around the country are picking up scholarship offers and announcing their commitment. While opening gifts and spending time with their family the Toledo coaching staff received a big time present earlier today.
After landing a verbal pledge from wide receiver Neru N'Shaka earlier in the week, UT has added another commit to it's class of 2016. Three-star linebacker Ron George of Pittsburgh Central Catholic is the latest recruit to join newly hired head coach Jason Candle's talented class. Holding numerous scholarship offers throughout the process, the 6'2 200-pound standout, who announced his commitment via his Twitter page, chose Toledo over reported offers from the likes of Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Miami, Temple, Virginia, and Western Michigan.
George, who finished with over 60 total tackles for the state champion Central Catholic Vikings as a senior, is considered the 130th outside linebacker, and 1,897th overall prospect in the class of 2016, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
