Just about 10 days ago Illinois three-star quarterback Matt Little was the only member of the Western Michigan class of 2016. He now has six classmates. Landing numerous verbal commitments this week, the Broncos recruiting momentum continued on Thursday evening.
Novi High (MI) junior Emanuel Jackson is the latest recruit to Row The Boat. A 6'0 175 pound three-star prospect, Jackson, who rushed for over 1,000 yards last season will make the switch from the offensive to the defensive backfield when he lines up for WMU.
Breaking the news to Bronco running back coach Mike Hart, and then P.J. Fleck, Jackson committed to Western Michigan over scholarship offers from fellow Mid-American Conference programs Bowling Green, and Toledo. While the under-the-radar prospect didn't hold many offers before committing to WMU, he was also receiving quite a bit of interest from a long list of programs including Michigan State.
After checking out WMU last week, Jackson will once again make the trip to Kalamazoo to mingle with the Bronco coaching staff this weekend.
