After coming up short for the MAC West Championship, coach Campbell and his staff have been hard at work to ensure that they are an improved team from last year. The Rockets return star running back Kareem Hunt as well as quarterback Philip Ely, who is coming back from a torn ACL. Matt Campbell and his staff signed another talented group of recruits on Wednesday to help bring the program to new heights.

Highlighted below are some of the players who Rocket fans can expect to make an immediate impact.
Ruben Carter is a graduate transfer from Florida State who will be eligible immediately for the Rockets. Carter will bring a sense of maturity to the Rockets and will be a starter right away. Carter is extremely athletic for his size and will be a huge help to the Rockets.
Nathan Childress is an athletic pass rusher who will be playing defensive tackle and will be wreaking havoc with fellow defensive tackle signee LaMarr Davis for years to come.
Chris Green is easily the most talented player in this recruiting class. Green was unable to play football his senior year due to an OHSAA rule. Green chose the Rockets over offers from Indiana, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kentucky, Penn State, West Virginia, and Western Michigan. Green is already enrolled at Toledo so he will be eligible to participate in Spring practices giving him an even higher likelihood of seeing playing time during his Freshman year.
Defensive back Aaron Covington is another immediate impact player on the defensive side of the ball. Covington is a tremendous cover corner and is a psychical guy who can play man-to-man coverage. Younger brother of current Rockets defensive linemen Allan Covington. Expect to hear about Covington a lot over the next 4 years, he's going to be a good one.
Safety Rolan Milligan will bring immediate help to Toledo's secondary. Milligan transferred from UAB where he was there 2nd leading tackler last season. He will have just one year of eligibility left but will be eligible to play right away.
Last but not least, wide receiver Darrion Landry gives the Rockets another play maker on the offensive side of the ball. Landry originally chose Toledo over offers from Akron, Illinois, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, North Texas, South Alabama, South Florida, and Southern Miss. However, the Rockets had to hold off Texas Tech as they showed serious interest in Landry with less than 24 hours before Signing Day. Look for Landry to come in, compete for playing time, as well as try to build a relationship with quarterback Philip Ely.
All in all, Campbell and his staff have signed another solid recruiting class consisting of multiple impact players. We will update this list when Toledo publishes their final list of signees sometime this afternoon.
