With Western Michigan off to a hot start in the 2016 recruiting class, Miami was able to get on the board recently with the commitment of OL Danny Godlevske.
Godlevske chose Miami over listed offers from Ball State, Buffalo, Toledo, and Western Michigan as well as interest from Bowling Green, Purdue, and Vanderbilt. Godlevske is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports as well as a top 15 prospect in Indiana.
Godlevske currently attends Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bishop Chatard has a history of producing successful offensive linemen as current NFL player Zack Martin graduated from there.
At 6-foot-3 278 pounds, Godlevske already has a college ready body and has the talent to make a major impact during his time in Oxford. Godlevske plays both offensive and defensive line for his high school, however he projects to play center at the next level.
Shortly after his commitment, Godlevske caught up with Hustle Belt to talk about why he chose Miami.
"Miami is the complete package with the coaching, academics, and football tradition. It doesn't get much better! I really enjoyed all the other schools recruiting me but when visiting Miami I got this gut feeling that it was the one and I immediately fell in love!"
Coach Martin and his staff have been busy offering many talented 2016 recruits so be on the lookout for more commitments to come in the near future.
Excited about Godlevske's future as a RedHawk? We are too! Check out his highlights courtesy of Hudl below:
