2016 Ohio Football Recruiting: LB Eric Popp Commits To Bobcats

The Bobcats are on fire.

Previously stating to Hustle Belt that he would like to have his commitment out of the way before his season started, It didn't take Loveland (OH) linebacker Eric Popp very long to make up his mind on where he would play his college ball. Nearly two weeks after picking up his scholarship offer from Ohio University the 6'1 215-pound, Popp is now a member of the Bobcats class of 2016.

Receiving his scholarship from the OU staff after showcasing his skills in front of them at a camp earlier this month, Popp decided to accept the Bobcats offer over chances to attend schools such as Morehead State, and Valparaiso.

Popp was just one of the five senior prospects to verbally commit to the Bobcats over the weekend. Ohio also landed pledges from running back Dontez Rash (Cleveland/Benedictine), offensive lineman Adam Notestine (Pickerington/North), and fellow linebackers Jared Dorsa (Kings Mill/King), and Dylan Conner (Fort Wayne,IN/Carroll).
