2016 NIU Football Recruiting: OL Austin Warner commits to the Huskies

The Huskies landed another in-state commitment this past weekend.

Austin Warner became the Huskies' seventh commit on Saturday.  The offensive lineman from Oswego, Illinois gratefully announced his decision over Twitter.  The 6-foot-4 275 pound offensive lineman chose the Huskies over other reported offers from South Dakota State and Illinois State.

The senior from Oswego High School caught up with Hustle Belt to discuss his recent commitment.  He said he chose Northern Illinois because, "I felt like it was the best place for me to get an education and continue playing football!  Also the coaches and the feel of the program is awesome!"

Warner joins recent commit, Ezekiel Gueths, to help solidify the Huskies' offensive line.  The Huskies will really look to these two prospects to hold down the offensive line and provide protection for 2016 commit and dual threat quarterback Anthony Thompson.

Lastly, the most recent commit told Hustle Belt about some goals, which he hopes to accomplish in his time at Northern Illinois.  "First, (I would like) to get a good education.  Then to get better at football, gain weight, get big, and to just enjoy playing football."
