After an extremely busy week for the entire conference when it comes to recruiting, Ball State added two more talented commits for the 2016 class on Sunday. These two commits will surely help Ball State's defense improve in the coming years. DE Frank Burton, and ILB Brandon Martin both announced their decisions on Twitter over the weekend:

Burton currently plays TE and DE for William Penn HS in New Castle, DE. He was offered as a defensive end and will line up there when he gets to Muncie next fall. Burton had other reported offers from Cornell, Delaware, Delaware State, and Monmouth. He is the number four prospect in the state of Delaware. and is rated a 2-Star according to 247Sports.
Brandon Martin is a three-star inside linebacker and running back who is currently playing for Lawrence North HS in nearby Indianapolis, IN. Martin will fit in nicely in the front seven with his size (6-foot, 227 pounds) and his athleticism is on display every time he steps on the field. Martin had no other reported offers, but chose the Cardinals over interest from Miami (OH) and Western Michigan. Martin is an under the radar recruit, however he is currently ranked a 3-Star recruit according to 247Sports.
The future of this Ball State program is getting brighter by the day, especially the defense. Check out these highlights of both recruits, courtesy of Hudl: (Brandon Martin is the first one, with Frank Burton second)
