2016 Ball State Football Recruiting: DT Chris Crumb joins the Cardinals

Coach Pete Lembo has been on fire on the recruiting trail.

The Cardinals had another 2016 join the family recently.  Defensive tackle Chris Crumb told Hustle Belt he announced his commitment to the Cardinals' coaching staff at the end of a visit to Ball State.  "It was a lot of congratulations and a lot of handshakes," Crumb added.  The Olentangy High School senior joins fellow 2016 defensive line commits Frank Burton and Donald Manning will hopefully help the Cardinals pass rush that recorded just 16 sacks in 2014.  Crumb reportedly also held offers from Toledo and Albany before his commitment to Ball State.

"The coaching staff and strength coach.  The strength coach more than anything."  Crumb was referring to strength and conditioning coach David Feeley in his response to why he chose Ball State.

The 6-foot-1 260 pound prospect also told Hustle Belt his main goal is to get an education at Ball State, aside from numerous small individual goals.  Education has been the main focus of many of Ball State's commits.  The stress of education at Ball State is a great reminder that athletes must perform well in the classroom in order to participate on the field.
