2016 Bowling Green Football Recruiting: DB Cameron Jefferies commits to the Falcons

Dino Babers continues to stockpile commitments from talented 2016 recruits.

Bowling Green's 2016 recruiting class got a little bigger on Saturday evening with the commitment of DB Cameron Jefferies.

Jefferies stands at 5-foot-11, weighs in at 195 pounds, and currently attends Riverside HS in Painesville, Ohio. He currently plays both wide receiver and defensive back at the high school level, however projects to play defensive back with Bowling Green.

According to his 247Sports profile, Jefferies also runs a 4.43 40 yard dash.

Jefferies chose the Falcons over a reported offer from Toledo. Anytime you beat out your biggest rival, it has to be considered a win for the program. With that said, Jefferies brings much more to the table than just a moral booster as he is a ball-hawking defensive back who possesses blistering speed and also a solid tackler.

Jefferies is the twelfth recruit to commit to Bowling Green's 2016 recruiting class and is just the second defensive back. Similar to their 2015 recruiting class, it seems that Bowling Green is stockpiling defensive talent early in the process and then plans to round out their class with a mix of offensive talent to build around 3-star QB commit Elijah Cunningham.
