Hancock currently attends North Gwinnett HS in Suwanee, Georgia. The 6-foot-2 195 pound wide receiver chose the RedHawks over a reported offer from Georgia State.

Shortly after his commitment, he caught up with Hustle Belt to explain why he chose Miami.

"I picked miami first because the great academic culture they have and when I went up there it just right being up there. I love what coach martin is doing recruiting wise, we're rolling right now in recruitment and what that man is building will definitely compete for a MAC championship, there's no doubt."

Cornerbacks coach Jon Hauser has been recruiting the Georgia area hard this year as Hancock is the fourth recruit from the state to commit to this 2016 class. The other three recruits are S Myles Reid, DB Tay Gowan, and LB Nigel Adams.
