Buczkowski currently attends Mt. Pleasant High School in Mt. Pleasant, MI which is also the home to his future university, Central Michigan. CMU was the first and only reported offer so far for the 6-foot 222 pound inside linebacker.
Buczkowski is a tackling specialist, racking up nearly 150 tackles last season, and was awarded All-State honors for his work. His versatility was display this past season as well, as he was also able to rush for over 1,000 yards. He has a chance to come in and help new head coach John Bonamego improve the defense when he arrives next fall.
In-state recruiting has become the focal point at Central Michigan the past several months, with all but 2 of their current verbal commitments coming from the state of Michigan.
