The future of this program just keeps getting brighter. Early Thursday night, Miami has added their 18th commit for the 2016 class, 3-star wide receiver DeAndre Huff.

Recruiting Profile:

Joining Huff in Oxford next fall is current teammate CB Tay Gowan, who committed to the RedHawks late last month. Huff currently attends Newton HS, and plays wide receiver. Huff had an impressive reported offer list, choosing Miami over offers from Rutgers, Minnesota, Indiana, and fellow MAC school UMass (per 247Sports). They also have Huff rated as a 3-star, and one of the top-170 WR nationally.

Huff has the chance to be a big weapon for Miami. Whether or not he sees the field as a true freshman on offense, he could be in consideration to get some early playing time on special teams.

The state of Georgia is a huge place for recruiting these days for the MAC, and Miami is trying to make sure the best of the best from the peach state come to Oxford. So far, they have succeeded, with five of their 16 coming from Georgia.
