2016 Toledo Football Recruiting: DB Jordan Williams commits to Rockets

The Rockets add another defensive back to the fold.

Matt Campbell, and the Toledo Rocket coaching staff recently secured a verbal commitment from another stellar high school prospect. According to Statesman.com, two-star class of 2016 defensive back Jordan Williams of Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas will continue his education, and playing days in the glass city.

Williams, the 177th safety, and 2,378th overall prospect in the 2016 class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings gives the Rockets 18 pledges at the moment. Looking to add secondary depth to the roster, Jordan joins fellow senior standout defensive backs Alonzo McCoy (Redford,MI/Lee M. Thurston), Jatairis Grant (Akron/Garfield), Tyrece Speaight (Upper Arlington/Upper Arlington),  Zach Ford (Cleveland/Cleveland Heights), and Justin Clark (West Bloomfield,MI/West Bloomfield) in the UT class.

Before his commitment to the Rockets the 5'10, 170-pounder was considering suiting up for the University of Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners.

Playing mostly linebacker on the high school level, the small, but tough Williams has earned All-District honors the past two seasons.
