Pickett, a three-star running back on 247Sports Composite, chose the RedHawks over 13 other programs, including Buffalo, Kent State, Marshall, and Navy.
The 5-foot-11, 215-pound running back from North Gwinnett, Georgia had a strong junior season in 2014 as the #11-ranked running back according to Scout.com in Georgia. He also rushed for 600 yards and 10 touchdowns, boasting both burst (4.48 40-yard dash and 4.25 shuttle), a powerful lower body (benches 350, power cleans 275, squats 450), and solid hands. Pickett may be the do-everything back that RedHawks fans have been looking for since they last had a 100-yard rusher in 2011. Rivals also reports several FCS offers to go with the ones listed above.

With eight offensive skill players and three offensive linemen already committed for 2016, look for Miami to turn its attention to concentrate on the defensive side of the ball where there are only seven commits so far.
