The Bobcats received a commitment recently from Worchester Academy in Worchester, Massachusetts. Strong-side defensive end Amir Miller announced his decision on his Instagram account. Miller had a reported offer from Toledo before he made his decision. He was also reportedly speaking with Holy Cross, Bryant, Lafayette, Delaware, and Buffalo. According to 247Sports' composite scores, Miller is rated as a two-star prospect.
Miller explained to Hustle Belt about what stood out to him about Ohio.
"I chose Ohio because after talking to some teammates, they told me how much the staff cared and wanted their athletes to succeed. The team felt like a family that I could see myself with, and it's a school where I can thrive academically. So I decided to not wait for more offers and commit."
Miller also hinted at some goals that he hopes to accomplish during his time at Ohio. "As a player I hope to make myself as useful as possible and have a successful career. As a team, I hope to better those around me and compete for a championship."
Ohio only recorded 25 sacks in 2014, but Miller will hopefully help produce more pressure on opposing quarterbacks. See some of his highlights, compliments of Hudl:
