2016 Bowling Green Football Recruiting: WR Rashaun O'Neal commits to the Falcons

The busy week for the Falcons continues.

After receiving a verbal commitment from Caleb Bright on Friday, the Falcons received another commit from Cincinnati Withrow High School's Rashaun O'Neal over the weekend.  O'Neal broke the news on Twitter and is the Falcons' sixteenth commit.  O'Neal is a two-star prospect according to scout.com.  Before accepting Bowling Green's offer, O'Neal had reportedly received offers from MAC-rival Kent State and Indiana State.

Rashaun O'Neal was kind enough to meet up with Hustle Belt to describe what contributed to his decision.

"It is a good fit.  I loved what the coaching staff stood for, which was being a family.  (I also) like the atmosphere of the campus."

Bowling Green is not too far away from the incoming senior at Withrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio as it is just a small trip up I-75.  The 5-foot-11 170 pound wide receiver also explained some goals that he hopes to accomplish during his time as a Falcon.

"I want to get my degree in the video production or communication area, and help win more bowl games (for Bowling Green)."

O'Neal can absolutely fly.  Withrow always tried to get O'Neal in space to make plays and O'Neal excelled tremendously.  Look for the new Bowling Green commit to maintain a similar role in the Falcons' offense in the coming years.  2016 quarterback commit Elijah Cunningham could really use a player like O'Neal to help take some of the pressure off of him by being efficient in the passing and screen game.
