The Ohio University football squad received a verbal commitment from another talented class of 2016 prospect on Monday afternoon. Just over two months after receiving his scholarship offer from Frank Solich and the Bobcat coaching staff Cincinnati Colerain offensive lineman Desmond Noel announced via his Twitter page that will continue the next step of his football and academic career in Athens.
Desmond, a First Team All-Conference selection as a junior, is the 16th verbal commitment for the Bobcats 2016 class. Of those pledges five are pegged to play on the offensive line at OU. The 6'4, 290-pound, Noel joins fellow road blocks Sean Beadle, Haydn Lewis, Nathan Murray and Adam Notestine in the Bobcats class.
Last season alongside Ohio class of 2015 signees Mayne Williams, Demetrius Colbert, and Jeff Christian (now at Ohio Dominican), Noel helped lead the Colerain Cardinals to an overall record of 8-4, and a state playoff bid.
